Greetings from Atlanta!
I arrived 5 days ago and am busy looking for a place to live. So today, I’m sharing a few links with you until my long list of tasks shortens and I can get back into the swing of things.
Story of terminally ill man taken in by neighbor:
A woman gave up her bedroom to a neighbor previously unknown to her when his house was damaged. The arrangement is benefiting them both.
Caregiver Resources:
Your job is caring. Giver’s job is to help you get paid to do that. Also, eldercare strategist Holly Larson shares 99 caregiving resources you may not know exist. Holly interviewed me for her forthcoming book. More on that to come.
Me sharing my two cents on LinkedIn:
Did you know that if family caregiving were a business entity, it would be the largest revenue-generated company in the world? Well, it would be, so can we please stop blaming caregiver burden simply on poor planning?
Also, I responded to a post about when caregiver stress becomes poverty by highlighting that caregiving can become homelessness.
That’s it for now. See you soon.
