In case we haven’t met, I’m Mary-Elizabeth, founder and boss of this joint. If you like the sound of being a neighborpreneur, be inspired by this true tale.

Debra cared for her father 24/7.

He was bedbound and couldn’t move on his own. Over time, his hands contracted into fists, which made cutting his nails both difficult and critical so that they wouldn’t grow into his palms and cause him pain and other problems. Debra wished she could pay a trained person to cut her dad’s nails.

There was something else that Debra wished she could pay someone for:

Pampering her father. He loved massages and warm shampoos, but Debra was too wrung dry as a caregiver to give these things as much time and attention as she wanted.

I can attest that this story is 100% true because I’m writing about myself under the guise of Debra.

Of 2,100 family caregivers surveyed by Age of Majority, 80% were interested in paying for services and products to assist them, but 87.9% couldn’t identify companies that stood apart for serving caregivers.
